Description
10" (25 cm.) including tail. 8"h. Firm-bodied cat with woolly flannel finish having hand-painted tabby stripes, upright ears, green glass eyes, pink nose, long tail, red leather collar with bells, and four tiny iron spoked wheels. When the metal ring in his underbelly is pulled, his mouth hinges open and closed and he "meows". Excellent condition. Germany, Julius Engelhardt, of Sonneberg, early 1900s, the firm specialized in novelty toy animals; the cat appeared in their catalog as model 5716.
