Description
36" (91 cm.) handle, 8" figure. A finely-polished wooden handle supports a carved wooden figure of man in golfing costume, posed as though about to swing at the golf ball, golf club in his hands. When metal lever handle is pushed, it causes the man to swing at the ball (included). Excellent condition, original finish is well-preserved. Schoenhut, circa 1925, the toy was made for a few years only, patented 1922, according to the original silver Schoenhut brass plate on the handle, and the painting of features and costumes is particularly artistic and well-preserved on the early toy.
