Rare German Bisque Wide-Eyed Googly by Goebel

6" (15 cm.) Bisque socket head with solid dome, sculpted short blonde hair with modeled forelock curls, "O" shaped large painted side-glancing googly eyes, painted upper dark lashes, dot brows, tiny nose, "O" shaped closed mouth modeled as though open, composition five-piece toddler body, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (Goebel symbol) N 12/0X Germany. Comments: Goebel, circa 1918. Value Points: rare googly character with wonderfully expressive features, choice bisque, original costume.
