Description
15" (38 cm.) Bisque socket head, sculpted detail around the blue glass sleep eyes, long painted curly lashes, incised eyeliner, short feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with richly shaded outlined lips, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 149 4. Comments: Hertel and Schwab, circa 1910. Value Points: rarer closed mouth glass-eyed character model with lovely bisque and painting, especially fine modeling around the eyes. Private Collection of Marianne Cieslik.
