Description
8" (20 cm.) Blonde wig with red ribbon-tied braids and curly bangs, real lashes, bendable-knee walking-style body, wearing tagged red and white checkered taffeta school dress with matching panties, white pinafore with drawn-ribbon sewn-on sash, tucks and lace, socks, black suede-like side-snap shoes, woven bonnet with a cluster of flowers. Near mint condition. Alexander, model #368, 1957, the company's catalog of that year noted of this doll that "Wendy has many school frocks to choose from...and hopes the boys won't pull her pigtails", indicating that the costume was made with many fabric variations (see #321 this catalog), but always with braids.
