11" (28 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta head tilted sharply to the side, black sculpted short hair, beard and moustache, ruddy complexion, enamel eyes, open mouth with teeth, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, bare feet, wearing original rough-woven laced shirt and pants, ragged laced leggings, shoulder bag. Excellent condition, few paint rubs on hair. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, depicting beggar in original worn costume.
