Description
14" (36 cm.) Carved wooden domed head with oval pear-shaped face, socket neck, painted blue side-glancing eyes with black upper eyeliner and tiny brows, tiny pointed nose, closed mouth with full lips, defined chin tip, blonde fleece hair with long braids in wrapped coronet at nape, firmly-stuffed muslin body, disc-jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Anna Fehrle, circa 1920s. Value Points: fine original finish, the doll is wearing original felt traditional costume with beading and embroidery, including very elaborate beaded coiffe.
