Description
8 1/2" (22 cm.) doll. 11" x 8" box. Arranged inside a firm-bodied box with lithographed image of K*R 101 dolls on the lid, is a bisque doll with painted blue eyes, black upper eyeliner, short stroke brows, closed mouth with very full pouty lips, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique dress; along with five colorful images of costumes being worn by K*R dolls, and with patterns for those costumes. The box is labeled "Das Fleifzige Puppenmutterchen" (The Busy Doll Mother), Verlag von O&M Hausser of Ludwigsburg. Excellent condition, few rubs on box. Germany, circa 1910, doll by Kammer and Reinhardt from their art character series. Verlag von O&M Hausser was founded in 1904 by Christian Hausser, successor to Muller & Freyer, a toy wholesaler in Ludwigsburg; the firm produced the famed Elastolin toy figures in addition to the sewing ensembles.
