Description
20" (51 cm.) x 12" x 8". The bentwood box with matching lid is cord-attached at the junctures, painted original red with garlands of colorful flowers and leaves circling sides, and has red painted lid with borders of white, blue and yellow stripes centering a lithographed scene of family in a garden setting. Excellent condition. Continental, mid-1800s.
