Description
10" (25 cm.) Carved wooden domed head with very plump cheeks, socket neck, painted side-glancing eyes having unusual painting of eye whites, V-shaped black upper eyeliner and tiny brows, broad rounded nose, closed mouth with piquant smile, defined chin tip, blonde fleece hair with long curled braids, firmly-stuffed muslin torso and legs, wooden arms, disc-jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Fehrle (original wrist tag). Comments: Anna Fehrle, circa 1920s. Value Points: unusual variations in facial shape, eye painting, wooden arms, and wearing original felt and linen costume with rick-rack appliqued and felt flower coronet.
