Description
10" (25 cm.) Carved wooden domed head with plump cheeked face, socket neck, painted brown outlined eyes with enhancing white eye dots, black upper eyeliner and tiny brows, broad rounded nose, closed mouth with piquant smile, well-defined chin tip, blonde fleeced hair with long side braids tied with burgundy felt ribbons, firmly-stuffed muslin body, disc-jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Fehrle (original wrist tag). Comments: Anna Fehrle, circa 1920s. Value Points: fine artistic painting of eyes and mouth, wearing original traditional wooden costume with beaded black felt cap.
