Description
10" (25 cm.) Carved wooden domed head with pear-shaped oval face, socket neck, tiny painted side-glancing brown eyes with enhancing white eye dots, black upper eyeliner and tiny brows, broad rounded nose, closed mouth with piquant smile, defined chin tip, blonde fleece hair with braided coronet at back crown having interwoven beading, firmly-stuffed muslin body, disc-jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Fehrle (original wrist tag). Comments: Anna Fehrle, circa 1920s. Value Points: most artistic painting of facial features, beautiful coiffure, original traditional costume with rick-rack and braid appliques.
