Description
14" (36 cm.) Each is of muslin with firmly-stuffed center-seam face having slight nose and chin shaping, embroidered brown eyes with upper lashes, brows, nostril dots, and distinctively-shaped mouth, each with fine fleece-yarn brown hair, he with stitched-on ears, and each with muslin body and similarly sewn-on shoes with lacing, she with long loosely-jointed limbs, and he with stitch-jointing at shoulders and hips, knobby-shaped legs. Condition: generally excellent, he has some spotting on left arm. Comments: Germany, maker unknown, early 1900s. Value Points: the dolls are wearing original costumes, he in woolen liederhausen with embroidered details, and she in cotton country-style dress and matching cap.
