17" (43 cm.) All-cloth doll with three back head seams, firmly-pressed and oil-painted hair and facial features, light brown hair with forehead curl, blushed ears, small brown painted eyes, black and brown upper eyeliner, lightly-tinted brows, rounded small nose, nostril dots, small closed mouth, stitch-jointed arms and separately-stitched thumbs, disc-jointed legs. Condition: very good, body stained, hands worn. Marks: Kathe Kruse (and illegible numbers, on feet). Comments: Kathe Kruse, circa 1915. Value Points: early model with well-impressed modeling around the smaller eyes, costume elements are original albeit incomplete.
