17" (43 cm.) Firmly-pressed and oil painted hair, complexion and facial features, three seams at back neck, dark brown painted hair with little swirls in front of each blushed ear, very small painted brown eyes, white eye dots, black and brown upper eyeliner, tinted brows, tiny accented nose, closed mouth, stitch-jointing at shoulders, disc-jointed hips, separately-stitched thumbs, Condition: very good, body has some spotting, some wear on finger tips and toes. Marks: (illegible on left foot). Comments: Kathe Kruse, circa 1913, early model with characteristic tiny eyes and head tightly sewn on. Value Points: the early model has especially artistic painting of eyes, overall charm, and is wearing early dress with an old handwritten note attached "Kruse's original dress when she was given to me".
