12" (30 cm.) Felt swivel head with pressed and painted facial features, outlined blue eyes with centering black shoe-button pupils, painted all-around lashes, blushed eye shadow and cheeks, black brows, closed mouth with smiling expression, blonde tuft of forehead curls under attached teal blue and golden felt hollow costume with hollow felt hands, ruffled pleated collar. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Hechtpuppe Else Hecht (original paper hang tag). Comments: Else Hecht, circa 1925, the novelty was designed for puppet play, with constructed slit at back for insertion of hand. Value Points: near mint state of preservation with wonderful detail of costume and fresh vibrant colors, original tag.
