Description
17" (43 cm.) All-cloth doll with three back head seams, firmly-pressed and oil-painted brown hair with shaded tendrils and curls onto forehead, painted facial features, lightly blushed ears, brown painted eyes with spiral threading, white eye dots, black and brown upper eyeliner, lightly-tinted brows, nostrils dots, small closed mouth, stitch-jointed arms and separately-stitched thumbs, disc-jointed legs, antique costume including cotton set, plain tunic, woven hat and shoes. Condition: generally excellent, some body spotting. Marks: Kathe Kruse 6880 (feet). Comments: Kathe Kruse, series, I, the model "Fritz" from the Kruse catalog, 1920 era. Value Points: especially endearing expression and body pose, the costume is likely original. The doll was featured in the Jonathan Green YouTube "Kruse Collecting" video.
