12" (30 cm.) Felt swivel head, firmly-pressed and painted facial features, richly-outlined eyes with black shoe-button pupils, dark eye shadow, thick brows, pronounced nose with ruddy tip, closed mouth in wide smile with row of painted teeth, white mohair hair and beard, round plump firmly-stuffed torso, short legs, large feet, and posable arms. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Hechtpuppe Else Hecht (and logo, on paper hang tag). Comments: Else Hecht, circa 1920. Value Points: original costume comprising patched sleeve jacket, felt shirt and brown pants, brown flannel shoes, green Bavarian hat, and carrying knapsack and wooden walking stick.
