8" (20 cm.) -11" dolls. 2"-4" heads. Each is wooden with well-defined carving of hair and facial features, with painted complexion, hair, and facial features; two are one-piece head and torso with painted red corset and kid-over-wooden hips and upper arms; one has one-piece head and wooden block torso, peg-jointing at shoulders, arms, hips and knees; and eight are shoulderheads designed for use with kid or cloth body. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Grodnertal, late 1800s. Value Points: rare red corset dolls, an interesting study in variations of style and color of carved hair dolls of that era.
