Description
16" (41 cm.) All-cloth doll, stitch-jointing at shoulders and hips, cardboard heart, brown worsted yarn hair, black shoe-button eyes on painted eye white, painted facial features with six lashes, lightly-outlined slanted nose, broad grin on thin line mouth, red and white narrow-striped stockings, black stitched-on shoes, original patterned dress, pinafore,and pantalets. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Patented Sept 7, 1915. Comments: Raggedy Ann by Volland, circa 1920, unusual to find hand-painted features. Value Points: rare early model of the beloved storybook doll in especially nice condition.
