12" (30 cm.) x 9". 12" doll. Presented within an original box with elaborately-lettered lid "Puppenmutterchen's Nahschule" (Doll Mother's School) is a bisque head doll with blue glass eyes, painted lashes and brows, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique costume, along with two fitted boxes with various sewing tools and notions, along with an instructional book with illustrations of various costumes, and eight folios with color illustration of the costume patterns within. Condition: generally excellent, one side of box lid missing. Marks: SH 1079 3 Dep Germany (doll). Comments: the ensemble was assembled and presented by the book publisher, Tavensburg Otto Maier, circa 1905. Value Points: wonderfully-preserved luxury ensemble with intact patterns.
