Description
8 1/2" (22 cm.) x 9". Presented within its original box with colorful image on lid depicting two girls dressing dolls and laundering costumes, labeled "Die Kleine Puppenschneiderin", is a bisque doll with brown glass eyes, painted lashes and brows, open mouth, brunette mohair wig, composition body jointed at shoulders and hips, along with an instructional book for sewing costumes, and a folio containing various costume patterns, with two original dresses. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Made in Germany 12/0(doll) Puppenschneiderin Liliput-?uegabe O,M, 87 (paper label on edge of box). Comments: Germany, costumes designed by Agnes Lucas, and offered by the publisher Ravensburg Otto Maier, 1905. Value Points: well-preserved sewing ensemble with original doll and wonderful images.
