Description
14" (36 cm.) Each has firmly-pressed muslin twill head with center seam, shaped chin and nose, tiniest blue glass bead eyes, painted brows, his mouth with upturned corners, she has primly set lips, blushed cheeks, nostril dots, brown thread hair, muslin body with stitch-jointing at hips, floppy legs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Brunhilde Einenkel (original wrist paper labels, also hand lettered "vogtlanderin"). Comments: Einenkel, circa 1930, the dolls are wearing matching boy and girl costumes of eastern Germany region including cap and coiffe. Value Points: fine original state of preservation of the pair with excellent facial detail.
