Description
14" (36 cm.) Firmly-pressed muslin twill head with center seam, shaped chin and nose, tiniest blue glass bead eyes, painted brows, mouth with upturned corners, blushed cheeks, nostril dots, exaggerated wild brown yarn hair, muslin body with stitch-jointing at hips, floppy legs. Condition: excellent. Marks: Brunhilde Einenkel (original paper label with pencil-lettered name "Struwwelpeter"). Comments: Einenkel, circa 1930, the figure was inspired by the beloved 1845 German children's book written by Heinrich Hoffmann. Value Points: all original, the impeccably-preserved doll is wearing original plaid costume and red felt shoes. The anniversary booklet of the firm, along with other various articles is included.
