Description
25" (64 cm.) Felt head with pressed facial features, unusual blue glass eyes set in sockets, eye shadow, thick brows, pronounced nose with accented nostrils, closed mouth in wide beaming smile, row of painted teeth, fleecy wig, softly-stuffed body and limbs, loosely-jointed legs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Hechtpuppe Else Hecht (paper tag on man). Comments: Else Hecht, 1920s. Value Points: the floppy-legged doll, with costume designed for use as hand puppet, is wearing original vibrant felt costume and hat, in well-preserved condition.
