17" (43 cm.) Firmly-pressed and oil painted facial features, complexion and hair, brown hair with forelock curls, rich complexion with rosy cheeks, dark outlined eyes with spiral threading, tinted brows, black and brown upper eyeliner, nostril accents, small closed mouth with downcast expression, three seams at back of head, stitch-jointing at shoulders, disc-jointing at wide hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Kathe Kruse (and illegible numbers on feet). Comments: Kathe Kruse, Series I, circa 1925. Value Points: especially fine detail of pressed features such as forelock curls and crinkles around eyes and mouth, antique dress and bonnet may be original.
