Description
14" (36 cm.) All-cloth doll with sewn-on head, three seams at back of head, firmly-pressed and oil painted complexion, facial features and brown painted hair with swirling curls, very plump cheeks, shaded blue eyes, black and brown upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, stitch-jointing at shoulders, disc-jointed hips. Condition: very good, light touch-up back of hair and nose, body darkened, toes resewn. Marks: Kathe Kruse (feet). Comments: Kathe Kruse, series VII, circa 1927. Value Points: the smaller version of the early series I is most charming, has beseeching expression, costume may be original.
