Description
18" (46 cm.) Each has felt head with firmly-pressed and painted facial features, outlined eyes with painted lashes, richly-blushed eye shadow, painted blue irises and black shoe-button pupils, upturned nose tip, closed mouth, firmly-stuffed body with jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Else Hecht, Munich, circa 1920s. Value Points: the impish-face pair, likely designed to represent Hansel and Gretel, have original wigs, and are wearing original costumes in the Tyrolean manner, each with enhancing embroidery.
