Description
18" (46 cm.) Cloth character head with three-seam back and stitched-on head, firmly pressed and oil painted complexion and facial features, rosy complexion, painted brown eyes, thick black and brown upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, nostril accents, closed mouth, brunette human hair wig, cloth body, stitch-jointing at shoulders, loosely-jointed legs with button and loops at back torso designed to hold a seated or standing pose. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Kathe Kruse 1133 (and other illegible marks). Comments: Kathe Kruse, mid/1930s, the doll was also known as Gluckskind (Child of Fortune), designed by Igor von Jakimow. Value Points: well-preserved original painting, original wig, dress, undergarments, shoes and socks.
