17" (43 cm.) All-cloth doll with firmly-pressed and oil painted facial features and hair, single seam stitched-on head, brown painted hair with curls swirling onto forehead, shaded blue/green eyes, white eye dots, black and brown upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, nostril dots, closed mouth, blushed cheeks and ears, firmly-stuffed muslin body, stitch-jointed arms, disc-jointed legs, wool knit costume. Condition: very good, some spotting of arms and legs, small touch-up on cheek. Marks: Kathe Kruse 321773 (feet). Comments: Kathe Kruse, circa 1940. Value Points: richly painted hair and complexion, especially fine painting of eyes and hair.
