Description
18" (46 cm.) Firmly-pressed felt head with pressed and painted facial features, black shoe-button eyes on blue background, painted and outlined lashes, single stroke brows, closed mouth with painted teeth, cloth bodice and arms, hollow wire-framed skirt designed for use as tea cozy. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Else Hecht Hechtpuppe (original paper tag). Comments: Else Hecht, 1920s. Value Points: well-rendered welcoming expression, the tea cozy wearing original costume and hat, with Hecht signature felt flowers in hands and at bodice, and with "diamond" ring.
