Description
14" (36 cm.) Cloth covered single seam swivel head with firmly-pressed facial features and hair, brown shaded hair with forehead curls, painted blue/green eyes with white eye dots, black and brown upper eyeliner, nostrils dots, closed mouth, all-cloth slim body with stitch-jointing at shoulders, disc-jointing of hips, nicely costumed. Condition: very good, some spotting on body, possible light touch-ups on hair. Marks: 3893? Kathe Kruse (foot). Comments: Kathe Kruse, mid/late 1930s, the doll, Series X Johanniskindchen, was introduced by the firm on Midsummer's Day (Johannistag) in 1930, in order to present a less expensive doll to the public. Value Points: charming fellow wearing embroidered vest, the model is rare to find.
