Tortulon swivel head with matte painted undercoat, painted blue side-glancing eyes, white eye dots, black and brown upper eyeliner, one-stroke angled brows, nostrils dots, closed moth, brunette wig, muslin stitch-jointing at shoulders, disc-jointed slim legs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 27034 Kathe Kruse Made in Germany US Zone. Comments: Kathe Kruse, early 1950s, the series XIV was known as The Slim Grandchild. Value Points: in pristine condition, the doll is wearing original red plaid ensemble, undergarments, shoes and socks, and has original paper label Kathe Kruse with hand lettered notation "Esther XIV 307" and has rare painted side-glancing eyes.
