Description
20" (51 cm.) Cloth-over-paper-mache swivel head with one pate seam, pressed and painted facial features, very rosy complexion, painted brown eyes, white eye dots, black and brown upper eyeliner, accented nostrils, closed mouth, blonde human hair in short bobbed style, firmly-stuffed cloth body with stitch-jointing at shoulders and disc-jointing at legs. Condition: fair/good, some craquelure on face, retouch at back of head, body spotted, crinkly knees, small hole in cloth of right leg. Marks: Kathe Kruse 4189 (and illegible marks on feet). Comments: Kathe Kruse, circa 1950, Series VIII. Value Points: the well-loved child is wearing original dress.
