Description
4" (10 cm.) -6" dolls, 8" overall. Each has cloth face with hand-painted features, the two clowns with attached nose, wrapped posable armature body, delicate fleece yarn hair, attached to metal weighted rods, and each wearing original costume representing circus performers including clown balancing a ballerina on his hand, and a rare polar bear with red ball. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, BAPS, circa 1950s. Value Points: wonderful original state of preservation of vibrantly costumed characters, the set is still preserved tied on to its original cardboard base.
