19" (48 cm.) Socket head with tanned complexion, painted features, brown eyes with defined eye dots, black and brown upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, blushed cheeks, blonde human hair wig, cloth body with jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent, some wear of socks. Marks: (light pencil odd numbering on feet). Comments: VEB, late 1950s. Value Points: lovely painting of complexion and features, the doll is wearing original cotton print dress, undergarments, shoes and socks, and has floral coronet in hair; the doll appeared in late 1950s catalog as "VIII Monika" and is preserved in her original box.
