10" (25 cm.) One-piece chip-carved wooden head and torso depicting a young lad with smiling expression, carved bobbed hair, carved and tinted facial features, small blue eyes, closed mouth with defined teeth, pin and dowel jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, painted black ankle boots. Condition: very good, original finish with appealing rubbed patina, one foot front chipped. Comments: Dolomite region of Alps, maker unknown, circa 1930s. Value Points: appealing expression and finish, the little boy is holding his own miniature carved wooden Pinocchio.
