14" (36 cm.) All-cloth doll with stitched-on three-seam head, painted brown hair with forelock curls, painted brown eyes, black and brown upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, closed mouth, stitch-jointed shoulders, disc-jointed legs, plaid dress, original undergarments, socks. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Kathe Kruse 820337 (feet, and other illegible marks) Kathe Kruse Made in US Zone Germany (and hand lettered "Rosl" on paper tag). Comments: Kathe Kruse, circa 1945, the series X was first introduced in 1935 designed to appeal to the buyer on a budget. Value Points: fine original condition and painting which is well preserved, original paper tag.
