Carved wooden solid domed head with unusual carving of very full cheeks and chin, painted brown hair with forehead curls, tiny button-shaped rosy-tipped nose, painted "O" shaped blue eyes, muslin body with stitch-jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Peter (hand lettered wrist tag, initialed with intertwined RH on backside). Comments: maker and age uncertain. Value Points: wonderful expression with unusual carving and painting, original Bavarian embroidered costume.
