16" (41 cm.) Each is of all-tortolon with socket head and jointing at shoulders and hips, sculpted short bobbed hair, painted facial features, painted blue eyes, closed mouth. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (each has original Schildkrot/Kathe Kruse paper wrist label). Comments: Schildkrot under license from Kathe Kruse, circa 1955; the two dolls are pre-1958 as only sleep eyes were offered after that time. Value Points: the boy and girl are wearing matching Bavarian style costumes with embroidery detailed caps, the girl with an additional costume, and are preserved in their original boxes as models 5970/40/1 and 5930/40/3.
