14" (36 cm.) All pink muslin doll with flat-dimensional face, printed facial features, blue outlined side-glancing eyes, upper curly lashes, short dash brows, outlined nostrils, shaded and outlined lips, blonde yarn hair with unusual detail of stitched yarn outline, stitch-jointing at shoulders and hips, wearing original pink and white checkered cotton dress with matching sunbonnet and reticule, original undergarments, stockings, black shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Rosamund "She Cuddles and Clings" No. 173 Copyright 1941 (stamped mark on back torso except 173 which is hand-inked suggesting limited edition). Comments: American, mystery maker, 1941, the exclusive doll was either made or commissioned by Caroline B. Pierce who authored the miniature book "Rosamund The Memoirs of a Rag Doll", 1941, which is included with the doll. Value Points: rare doll is perfectly-preserved, with original miniature book.
