20" (51 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead, sculpted blonde hair waved from face and captured in pageboy curls at back of head, partially sculpted ears with sculpted gilt-accented dangle earrings, black painted headband, blue painted eyes, all-around painted lashes, lightly-feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, muslin stitch-jointed body, kid lower arms, antique cotton dress and undergarments, shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: attributed to Simon and Halbig, circa 1870. Value Points: perfect clarity of painting creates an outstanding doll, rare all-around painted lashes, painted earrings and necklace with white cross.
