11" (28 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta head with ruddy complexion, bald pate, black tufts of hair above each hair and around the nape, fully-sculpted ears, enamel eyes, mouth modeled as though wide open and calling out to passers-by, defined teeth and tongue, tinted beard stubble, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted green wrinkled leggings, tan shoes with red buckles, and wearing original costume. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, along with his wooden cage with two carved wooden monkeys.
