16" (41 cm.) Of fine faience with creamy background, the double-door armoire features bombe-shaped doors and sides, and is surmounted by a regal crest with rampant lion coat of arms. The doors and side panels each feature a well-detailed scene in the Watteau romantic style, while side columns and lower panels present further decoration. The doors open to gilt-edged shelving and is also decorated with floral sprays. Excellent condition, repair on one door that is imperceptible on exterior. French, late 1800s.
