Description
15" (38 cm.) Pink tinted porcelain shoulderhead with plump face, painted blue downcast eyes with thick black upper eyeliner, painted all-around delicate lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, unpierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, early French pink kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at hips, wearing antique Persian costume. Condition: generally excellent, body very sturdy although not typical Rohmer model. Comments: French, attributed to Madame Rohmer, circa 1860. Value Points: early model with very fine quality of porcelain.
