Description
17" (43 cm.) h. armoire. The three-piece ensemble of fine walnut with fruitwood inlays comprises armoire with mirrored front door and single drawer, having carved crest ornament, with lock and key; matching secretaire-chest with locks and key, drop-front desk surface to reveal fitted interior; and bed with carved crest on headboard and original mattress and pillows (also blue silk bed covers). Excellent condition. French, circa 1860, the quality of the set suggests its original presentation in luxury store such as Maison Giroux or Au Paradis des Enfants.
