Description
12" (30 cm.) l. 7"h. Of fine rosewood with beautiful burled finish, the bombe-shaped cabinet has gilt bronze edging, mounts, and escutcheon, along with edging around the beveled glass top surface allowing viewing of the interior treasures. The interior is lined with silk and velvet, and a key is included. A brass plaque attached to underside reads "10 juin 1906" with scrolled initials of maitrise maker. Excellent condition. French, early 1900s, outstanding maitrise workmanship.
