The metal framed case with rich gilt finish is lavishly ornamented with symbols of fruitfulness and future happiness, and is fitted with a curved glass front and sides, and beveled glass top which hinges open to the interior which is fitted with tufted red velvet upon which is displayed a tiny figure of the bride, surrounded by a bride's actual coronet of waxed orange blossoms, and several wedding gown accessories of silk flowers. Excellent condition. French, circa 1875, a particularly luxe presentation chest of wedding memorabilia.
