Bisque socket head with light brown complexion, amber brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with coral shaded lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French brown composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Paris Bebe Tete Bebe 9 (large incised markings) Paris Bebe (torso). Comments: Daniel & Cie, circa 1890, who attempted to create bebes in the manner of his former employer, Emile Jumeau until stopped by a Jumeau lawsuit; hence his dolls are rare to find, especially this brown-complexioned variation.
