Description
9" (23 cm.) l. 6"h. The two-drawer carton chest with bombe shaped front and sides has lithographed paper finish to simulate Boulle inlay, ormolu feet, and gold edging. Arranged on the chest is a brass bird cage with hinged door and bird on a perch, elaborate double frame with easel back, and gilt ormolu candlestick by Erhard & Sohne. Chest has some wear at the sides, ornaments are excellent. Circa 1890.
